ChatGPT Could Social-Engineer My Public Footprint
This was scary to me...
So I tried OpenAI's ChatGPT today — just out of random curiosity.
No fine-tuning / prompt engineering or manipulative techniques were used.
But ChatGPT still managed to social engineer a person ("Gantavya Bansal" — aka me) better than Google Dorking or any other method I’ve ever used online.
I can't share everything, but just know this — the output was structured.
It dug up all my accounts and links, even on platforms I hadn't touched in a while.
(Thanks to the LLM, I ended up deleting my data from a bunch of places after that.)
At first, it was honestly scary — realizing how vulnerable I was on the internet.
But I think it’s worth sharing this experience.
What do you guys think?
